Matteo GHIONE
VIOLIN
He has studied violin since he was 7 years old. In 2014 he got the Master Level in violin with highest honors at the "G. Tartini" Conservatory of Trieste, in the class of M° Degani.
He took part at many Masterclasses: International Festival of Portogruaro from 2004 to 2008 (teachers P. Vernikov, M.C. Carlini, L. Snitkovskaya, E. Mazor, G. Kalinovsky and I. Rabaglia), Pordenone 2008 (L. Degani), Accademia Violinistica Zinaida Gilels - San Vito al Tagliamento-PN (M.C. Carlini).
He got many honors: merit degree at the “Concorso Internazionale per Giovani Strumentisti” di Povoletto (UD) in 2007; scholarship at “Fondazione Musicale Santa Cecilia” di Portogruaro in 2008 and in 2009; scholarship for the best graduated students at the Conservatory "Tartini" of Trieste (2015).
He collaborated with many orchestras (like Fondazione Teatro La Fenice, Orchestra di Fiesole, FVG Mitteleuropa Orchestra, Orchestra Cherubini, Orchestra Nazionale dei Conservatori), being also the leader of someone of them (like Accademia Zinaida Gilels Young Orchestra; Orchestra of the Conservatorio di Musica “G. Tartini” di Trieste - that in February 2012 played in Rome, at Quirinale Palace, with the presence of the President Napolitano -). He played in important locations (Arena di Verona, Villa Rufolo in Ravello - SA, Altare della Patria - Rome, Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, RavennaFestival, Sacrario di Redipuglia; Theaters of Budapest, Cracovia and Varsavia), conducted by Maestros like R. Muti, E. Morricone, P. Vernikov, A. Fogliani, M. Scarpis, T. Forcolin.
From 2012 to 2014 he has been violin at “Quartetto Tetrachord”, with whom he played in important festivals, like "Mittelfest" (Cividale 2013) and "Nei Suoni dei Luoghi" (2014).
From 2014 he plays in the “Chagall Quartet.
